I was 24 years old just got my red seal working a cushy job at a hotel in wine country as a part time banquet chef it was great not many hours but great pay also i was dating the server down side this chick was expensive me being the dumbass that i am i make it seem like im rolling in the cash which to be honest i really wasn't. So that being said i take a assistant kitchen manager position at a popular Canadian chain restaurant for legal reason lets say it was roadhouse in the name . I start my first day with alot of doubt in my head first night first shift we get killed jesus i felt like a robot just a hear and serve it was not the cooking i loved and was passion about this was just for a pay check . saying i fucking hated it more then life is a gross understatement. Get thru the shift barley go out drinking after needed to get smashed after that joke of a first shift so drinks are flowing im eating percs sniffing all the fun stuff . wake up for my 9am prep training shift im dying get there start prep and its a straight insult to the culinary arts how they prepped food it was gross im getting grief for alleged not doing right get in argument im like fuck this swipe a case of wine stash it outside say hey can i go for a smoke i leave walk get on the bus and boom never went back i was getting calls texts fuck that place. it was horror long story short dont do this job for a paycheck do it for your passion and love
